Being a rookie in tree planting can feel daunting. Hard work, lack of knowledge of the industry, meeting new people, and living away from home are just a few reasons why people may get nervous about starting a career in planting. That’s why we decided to interview one of our Rookies, Avery. We asked her about what her first year at Leader Silviculture has been like. We also got some tips on how you can thrive in your rookie season at Leader Silviculture.

As the old adage says, “Garbage in, garbage out!” If you aren’t eating enough food or aren’t eating the right foods, your energy levels could peak and valley with your blood sugar levels which could reduce your work output (and with that, your paycheque!). Contrastly, if you eat a well-balanced diet with enough high-quality nutrients to fuel you for the whole day, then you give yourself a better shot at maintaining the highest possible output that you can each day, and maximizing what you bring home each week.
